Auli is indeed the best skiing destination in India. Auli is one of India's three best known ski resorts, with elevations ranging from 1917 to 3027 metres. The vast open regions above the snowline have been thrown open to skiers. Both novices and experienced skiers will consider Auli being an exhilarating experience.
Auli's snow-white alpine slopes and skiing amenities lure visitors in the winter. It offers a breathtaking panorama of Himalayan peaks such as Nanda Devi, Nilgiri, Harhi-Ghoda, Trishuli, Kamet, and Dunagirl. The Auli hills are usually blanketed with 4-5 m multiple layers of snow from January to March. There are also ski festivals and national winter championships held here. Auli is home to India's first international FiS-approved slope and Asia's longest cable car, which connects Joshimath and Auli (4 km).
The location offers great possibilities for adventure sports like as skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports that make Auli the perfect place for winter adventurers. It's a heaven for skiing, cultural and adventurous skiing. Auli is the backdrop of ITBP's central ski team and numerous local skiers and snowboarders that have participated in National Championships and represented india in International events. With this excursion, you are able to explore the skill of gliding over powder snow on the Auli Slopes.
History of Auli, It all began when IISM had to cease operations in Kashmir owing to the situation spiralling out of control in the late 1980s, so they relocated to Auli, Uttarakhand, a newly recognised location. During their time here, they instilled a passion for skiing, snowboarding, and adventure sports amongst the locals. When conditions improved in Kashmir, they returned to resume operations, but since then, Auli had cemented its place on the map of Asia's skiing attractions. Locals and the state government in Auli have discovered that this place has a ton of potential and will eventually become a godsend for the locals, as they will be able to make their living here independently. Now decades later Auli is a renowned skiing resort in the world and a major tourist destination of India.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Auli
You can unwind in your hotel room and participate in a briefing session with our team about the days ahead. Introduce yourself to your batchmates and our team of accomplished national and international athletes.
Day 2
Starting with Basics
You will meet our qualified skiing instructors after an early breakfast. Throughout the training, they will guarantee that you understand the fundamentals of skiing. We will begin by learning about basic skiing equipment and techniques. You'll slip, slide, tumble, and hit, but you'll have a great time. You'll have to relearn how to walk because doing it on snow while wearing 1 kg skiing shoes and a ski connected is a whole different experience. You'll also learn some important sliding tactics while traversing the lovely snow-covered terrain. The most essential thing you will realise at the end of an interesting session is the importance of learning from your mistakes.
Day 3
Basic stans, movement and sidefall
The circumstance would be the same as the day before; you will simply fall less since you have gained and developed more confidence. You begin to balance on the sky after a set of lessons. You will now be capable of standing on your skis and execute the side fall technique and snowploughs break on your own. First few sessions will consist of crash landings at the bottom of the slope. These workouts will, however, be defined by several falls and recovery occurrences.
Day 4
Snowplough, basic turns and hill climbing technique
We're going to take a step ahead. On a mild slope, you learn how to move ahead. Your fundamental slide and snowplough turns will be perfected. The snowplough turn is a braking and turning technique that is typically taught to novices. The skis' front tips are pulled together and the tails are pulled wide apart, with the knees slightly curled inwards. You can make a turn by pressing one side of the heel outwards and linking the tip and you can stop the ski entirely by pressing both heels outwards and uniting the tip. We'll go through fundamental hill-climbing methods such as side stepping and herring bone so you don't have to carry your gear up the hill; instead, you'll be able to stroll up the hill in your skies.
Day 5
Second Last Basic Lessons
It's the second last day of skiing course, and now's your chance to display your skiing skills. Your instructor will lead you to a more difficult slope.
